Frequently Asked Questions:

Online Lessons

How are your online lessons conducted?

All online lessons are conducted via Zoom. Sharing of material will be done through share-screen functions, whiteboard, etc. Students will need internet connectivity (Wi-Fi) and a laptop or tablet that allows them to view the screen with the Zoom application downloaded.

Do you offer any in person classes?

At the moment, all classes will be conducted online only. Should there be any in person classes offered in the future, the students and parents will be well informed of.

But online lessons aren’t as good for my child!

Online lessons are NOT a bad alternative. Many students around the world study online and take classes from international organisations virtually have benefited immensely from it. It is important that the student keeps learning and improving, to maintain excellent academic grades and clarify whatever they are unsure of.

We assure you of the quality of online lessons that they are in no way sub-par or poorer as compared to face-to-face lessons.

Here are some methods to help your child cope with and get used to online lessons:
1. Give them 2-3 minute breaks in between sections
2. Prepare ahead of time, print out materials that Ms Esther sends before the lesson if possible
3. Check the technology set-up (microphone, headset/earphones, camera, battery, etc)
4. Encourage them to talk to the tutor, Ms Esther is an engaging and lively tutor, they should have fun! :)

How would I know if you’re a good fit for my child?

Do contact us via WhatsApp, we would love to have a conversation with you to find out how we can best assist you to help your child improve in their schoolwork. Ms Esther’s strategy for every student is different, she does not believe in a one-size-fits-all method!

How would you help my child?

We believe that improving a child’s academic performance is a mutual effort. Ms Esther does her best through varied teaching strategies to interest and engage your child to learn the subject, identify their weak points and then improve specifically on it.

We also always do organised planning with a calendar/schedule plan for every student who comes to us for tuition. That way they can keep up with the syllabus and homework to ensure effective learning and improvement!
